Overland Park, KS, October 27, 2008 — BillSoft, Inc., the market leader for transaction-based taxation, introduced today an exciting new addition to the EZGeo product line - EZGeo Direct. EZGeo Direct allows users to obtain a USPS verified address and specific tax jurisdiction over the Internet. The BillSoft's sales team recently provided the first demos of EZGeo Direct at the CompTel show in Orlando, FL.
Accurate customer address information is a critical part of any mail piece. Errors can cost you valuable marketing dollars or lost revenue as a result of billing delays. No matter how intriguing the mail piece might be, it will be worthless if the incorrect address causes it to be undeliverable. EZGeo Direct users visit BillSoft’s secure website and submit a customer’s address. The website then returns several pieces of critical data including the validated USPS address, geocoded address, BillSoft jurisdiction code, plain description of the taxing jurisdiction, FIPS code, score of the match, designation of incorporated versus unincorporated, and determination of any special tax districts. In addition, the underlying product is certified by the Florida DOR for jurisdiction assignment. This gives EZGeo Direct users the assurance that their FL customers are correctly set up for billing and taxation.
